How are we so deficient of peace?

I read a post on Facebook today which saddened my heart. A young woman wanting to end her life. I won’t name her but needless to say it’s a shame that many people today are having thoughts like this.

How on earth has this happened? With all this comfort with all this stuff? With everything we could ever dream of having owning and doing we are in a drought of internal peace.

I know that it is this internal peace that we have sacrificed for this stuff. We are not thankful for this stuff or our relationships with one another. We are not grateful for all we have. Over the last milenia the biggest struggle was surviving past 30 years old due to disease. Now its avoiding our own thoughts!

People wake up, life is more than money, fame, hierarchy, education. The real quality of life is found within the soul and I believe the only way to get there is through God. And my god is Christ.
